Corn Pone - Bertha Hauxhurst Tyson

Bertha Hawxhurst (Tyson)

Corn Pone

Ingredients:
1 c corn meal
1 c wheat flour
1 c ‘sweet’ milk (milk)
2 eggs
1 tsp baking soda
1 Tbls cream of tartar – put in milk

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F, use a long greased baking pan.
Mix dry ingredients, except cream of tartar, which should be added to milk.
After, mix milk and eggs.
Bake.
